Found/Made Typography

PHOTOGRAPHY | PRINT DESIGN
This project was an investigation into the ways that typography could be found or constructed from everyday materials in the world around us.
The goal for this project was to explore a range of approaches and look at everything around me as a possible material for typographic form.
This design is a typographic interpretation in which the visual representation supports the  meaning of the word “melting” and has a dynamic quality.
I chose to represent the word “melting” with soft serve ice cream, and added an ice cream cone to ensure that the viewer understands that it is in fact ice cream. The ice cream is set on a bed of birthday wrapping paper. I chose to use wrapping paper because in my mind, the two go hand-in-hand; ice cream is frequently served (with cake) at birthday parties.
